A little bit about Jess
Who’s that girl? It’s Jess!
And yes that’s me jumping on a trampoline on my own wedding day… I really do mean it when I say I am all about finding moments of big day joy.
I have been a Celebrant + MC for over 6 years, married hundreds of the loveliest humans and while I probably should feel like I have seen it all, I still get goosebumps every single time.
I never take for granted what a privilege it is to be trusted by my couples to create a celebration that is fun, heartfelt, and 100% them. A ceremony jam packed with all the big feelings, the belly laughs, the happy tears and moments that you and your guests will remember forever.
My vibe?
Warm and calm (cool as a cucumber);
Professional, but never stuffy or boring;
Like an old friend, your OG hype girl, who just happens to be holding a microphone.
I’m not just here to run a ceremony, I’m here to create a space where you feel supported, relaxed and totally celebrated.
Whether you're planning something big and boujee or low-key and loved-up, I’ll be right there with you, from our first chat to the final toast.

I wish it was mine but…
…it was my Dad’s idea for me to become a Celebrant
In 2018 I was working in a fast-paced, high-stress Government PA job and my Dad called one day during work hours. Thinking this must mean something serious had happened, I answered and in a million years, with a million guesses I still wouldn’t have predicted what he was going to say next.
‘You should be a Marriage Celebrant. I have just seen an ad on TV that had a Celebrant and a mobile chapel on wheels and I just thought, I think you need to do this!’
Next minute, he’s doing market research to show me there are other young and fun Celebrants out there changing the game and signed me up to do my Cert IV in Celebrancy.
The first couple I ever married were dear friends of mine and they were kind enough to let my Dad crash the ceremony and he was a happy, blubbering mess the whole time. I still call my parents on my way home from every one of my weddings and he loves to remind me it was his idea. Thanks Dad!
Get to know me in 10 questions
Warm, bubbly, enthusiastic and a little bit nerdy. Love me some video games, political chat and delving into the history books.
My family and friends would describe me as…
Mint choc chip… if I could only have one meal for the rest of my life it would quite possibly be Ben & Jerry’s mint choc chip ice cream.
My favourite ice cream flavour…
You’ve been granted a one-way ticket to another country of your choice. Where are you going?
Definitely back to Japan… the culture, the food (7-11 snacks!), the snow… Disneyland! I could very happily live there forever.
If you were reincarnated as an animal, what would you choose and why?
A capybara! They just seem to be so chill and friends with all the other animals. I would love that for me.
What looks easy-peasy lemon squeezy but is actually difficult difficult lemon difficult?
I cannot throw a tennis ball to save my life. Netballs, basketballs, no problem. Tiny round balls that require an overarm action… terrible. Even my dog is very underwhelmed with my ball throwing abilities.
At a trivia night, what category would you know most about?
Music and pop culture 100%. I have a knack for remembering absolutely useless facts about celebrities, random TV and movie facts and can recite lyrics to songs from the 90’s I haven’t heard in decades.
We met at work! He was the new guy and I fancied him immediately and wasn’t as subtle as I thought I was being in hindsight in terms of letting him know I was keen. In my own wedding vows I made a joke about how it could have been true love or ended in a very difficult conversation with HR about harassment. Nearly a decade later with two beautiful kids and a staffy, I am happy to say it was true love!
How did you meet your husband?
The kids are asleep and you have your choice of what to watch on the TV… what are you watching?
Getting to watch the Formula 1 live with hubby is a real treat these days so we try to get up early/stay up late to watch it together. Also love me some Youtube time watching interior design shows, let’s play gamer videos and comedy specials.
If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
I already do! I can play the piano, guitar, recorder and the trombone! Mid ceremony trombone solo anyone?
Do you have a favorite dinosaur?
It’s so hard to choose, but it would have to be between the Iguanodon and Dilophosaurus.
Here for you, all the way
As your Celebrant and MC, I’ll be with you from signing the first legal document to the very last speech of the night, keeping everything seamless, stress-free, and so much fun. Need help with your vows? I’ve got you.
Want someone who’ll make you feel relaxed, supported, and totally at ease the whole way through? That’s me.
At the end of the day, I’m all about connection. I want you to feel like you’ve got an old friend standing up there with you, one who’s got your back, knows your story inside-out, and is there to make sure your wedding is everything you’ve dreamed and more.
So, let’s make some magic, shall we?
